Dhungana warns of armed rebellion

Birgunj, December 8

Former speaker and rights activist Daman Nath Dhungana today said the country would witness turmoil with arms and ammunition if the ongoing Madhes agitation continues further.

He also underscored the need to relieve the country from the present crisis immediately.

While speaking to mediapersons today in Birgunj of Parsa, Dhungana assured that fresh dialogue would be facilitated between the agitating Madhesi forces and the government to end the prolonged crisis the country has been facing soon after the arrival of Madhesi leaders from New Delhi.

Former speaker Dhungana claimed that the activists were trying their best to institutionalise the rights of all besides resolving the protracted blockade.

Another rights activist Padma Ratna Tuladhar and Birendra Midhra expressed serious concern about the series of human rights violation in the past four months in the Tarai districts.
