MAKWANPUR: A new diarrhea-epidemic is said to be spreading at Raksing, a remote VDC in Makwanpur district.

According to the locals, more than 40 have been suffering from the disease and some of the patients have been rushed to Manhari bazaar for treatment. Kaushalendra Mishra, a health worker posted at Chainpur Health Post, said that they are unable to go to the diarrhoea-hit area, thus are forced to come to Manhari. Villagers have been making necessary preparations to take all patients to Manhari bazaar. However, the District Public Health Office, Makwanpur, said the health authority is unaware of the incident.
