Displaced have not been rehabilitated, says Khadka

Banke, February 2:

Nepali Congress leader Khum Bahadur Khadka today flayed the government for not being able to help the people displaced by the conflict safely return to their homes.

Addressing the party cadres in Banke today, he said the Maoists would never return the land and property they seized from the NC cadres.

“Almost 90 per cent of the land and property seized by the Maoists belonged to the Nepali Congress cadres and the Maoists are delaying the return of the property,” he said.

Khadka said NC has been following the Maoists and warned that the party’s plight would be like that of Rastriya Prajatantra Party if it continued following the Maoists. The NC is leading the government, but no effort is being taken to understand the problems faced by the party cadres, he said.
