HETAUDA: The District Court, Makawanpur has yet to receive Rs 120.20 million accrued as fines imposed under convictions for various crimes during the current fiscal year, court statistics show.

According to the court, out of the total receivables under penalties accrued during FY 2017/18 only Rs 10.82 has been collected to date.

Organising a press meet on Thursday, the court also informed that out of 1,397 cases registered during this fiscal and 567 pending cases of the last fiscal, 1,285 cases have been settled, meeting the settlement target four days prior to the intended date.
