Kathmandu, March 16
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has instructed not to inflict unnecessary suffering on youths going abroad for foreign employment.
Addressing the meeting of development problem solving committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs this afternoon, he said youths had to face many problems while going for foreign employment.
In the meeting, PM Dahal said, "I have been hearing complaints regarding unnecessary suffering being inflicted on young people before leaving the country for foreign employment.
From the task of making passports, taking medical tests, undergoing orientation training to immigration, the suffering experienced by the youths is a matter of serious concern."
He further said, "Do not disrupt any work that is done according to the law. There should be proper monitoring to ward off hurdles, chaos, and delays."
The presentation at today's ministerial level development problem solving committee meeting revealed the situation of the current financial year. The ministry is expected to spend its annual approved budget and complete the scheduled tasks on time.
Besides, the ministry is expected to ensure peace and security, control crime, expedite development works, carry out tasks related to disaster risk reduction and management, provide service delivery and maintain good governance in the coming days. In addition, PM Dahal also directed the authorities concerned to work more actively on some subjects.
The meeting also highlighted modernising the existing policies and laws related to home administration and formulate and modify the guidelines, directions and procedures related to the operation of work.
"Since problems have surfaced in the economic sector of the country due to unwanted activities on the part of depositors and borrowers in micro-finance and cooperatives and banks and financial sector and campuses across the country are gearing up for elections of the independent student union, all the security agencies need to arrange a reliable system to ensure peace and security," said PM Dahal.
He also instructed the security agencies to curb criminal activities and carry out investigation and prosecution in a reliable manner and to put an end to corruption and irregularities such as mafia, middlemen, brokering and bribery.
PM Dahal also instructed one and all to make public service delivery refined and scientific, thereby ending the hassles and delays experienced by citizens while obtaining citizenship, passport and national identity card.
