Donation drive to go on, says Maoist leader

Charikot, May 15:

Central acting chief of Tamang Autonomous Republican Power, Dawa Tamang (Kshitiz), today said the Maoists would not stop activities like collection of donation, tax and interrogation until an interim government with the involvement of Maoists is formed.

He further added that issues related to race, gender and regional good governance should be guaranteed while going for a constituent assembly.

He said this while speaking at a press conference organised after the announcement of District Peoples’ Government (Dolakha) in Charikot today. Newly elected chief of Joint Revolutionary Peoples’ Council (Dolakha), Shankar Lama, presented the policy and program of his party.

Maoists will retaliate if the army continued patrolling with their arms, Lama said.

He said, they would not allow NGOs and INGOs to operate in their base areas without being registered with the party.
