DOTI: Doti has been declared an open defaecation free district.

Amid an official function held at district headquarters Silgadhi on Wednesday, main judge at the Dipayal High Court  Prakash Kumar Dhungana declared it an open defaecation free district.

As many as 41 districts of the country have been declared open defaecation free zones so far.

According to the National Sanitation Strategy-2010, a plan was set to declare Nepal an open defaecation free country by 2017. In line with the national plan, a five-year district strategic plan-2011 was charted to declare Doti an open defaecation free district by 2017.
