DoTM forms panel

Kathmandu, June 8:

The Department of Transport Management (Do-TM) has formed a panel to study the problems faced by cargo vehicles and submit the report within a month. The entrepreneurs have been demanding the government fix the limit of the weight a carrier could carry. They have also been demanding the government fix the lower and upper limit of the fare they could charge while transporting goods. An entrepreneur said there was a need to assess the number of cargo vehicles needed and the government should do something to check the entry of Indian vehicles in the field.
