DPM Mahara leaves for New Delhi

KATHMANDU: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara today left for New Delhi, the capital of India, at an invitation of his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj on Sunday.

Ambassador of Nepal to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay and other high level officials had welcomed DPM Mahara at the Indira Gandhi International Airport this afternoon.

Minister Mahara would hold a collective meeting with Delhi-based ambassadors and high level officials of diplomatic missions of various countries later this evening.

He would be holding talks on mutual interests and concern with his Indian counterpart, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mahara is scheduled to return home on Tuesday.
