JHAPA: A two-month-old kid died after he was administered DPT and pneumonia vaccination under the National Immunisation Programme in Shantinagar of

Jhapa last Friday.

According to the family of the deceased, two-month-old Sulabh, son of Dal Bahadur Rai of Shantinagar-1, Barne, died due to excessive bleeding.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Lifeguard Hospital in Biratnagar on Friday, said Rodish Shrestha, a kin of the deceased.

The minor’s body was sent to BP Koirala Institutes of Health Sciences Dharan for post-mortem on Monday.

“The post-mortem report will reveal the cause of death,” said District Police Office Jhapa.
