A drone has been used to transport daily essentials weighing less than five kilogrammes to Mohare Danda, a tourism spot of Annapurna rural municipality in Myagdi district.
Daily essentials were transported to Mohare Danda from Nagi of Annapurna rural municipality-8 using drone, said Chairperson of the rural municipality, Bharat Kumar Pun. The drone was developed by the National Innovation Centre (NIC).
A team of the NIC conducted test on Friday and Saturday by sending goods to Mohare Danda from Nagi, he added, sharing that drones were found useful to drop medicines and daily essentials at hilly and disaster-hit areas.
