KANCHANPUR: CPN Maoist Centre leader Lekhraj Bhatta has claimed that the feasibility study of Dodhara-Chandani dry port in Kanchanpur was undertaken during his tenure as the Minister for Commerce.

Talking to his party cadres this morning, he said, "I took the initiative to carry out feasibility study of the dry port so as to operate easy trade with India".

The cost estimated for the construction of the port at the moment was Rs 6.5 billions, he shared. adding that it surprised him how Nepali Congress is making this a main agenda of the elections.
