Earthquake felt in Darchula of far western Nepal, epicentre on Indian side

BAITADI: A fresh earthquake was felt in Darchula of far western Nepal at 12:39 pm on Friday. It was of local magnitude 4.3, according to the National Seismological Centre.

The epicentre of the light tremor, however, was 40 kilometres west of the Darchula district headquarters on the Indian side, the National Seismological Centre said.

No damage was reported on the Nepali side.

A light earthquake of local magnitude 4.1 was recorded in neighbouring Bajura district on December 26.
