Earthquake-hit Rasuwa school gets building rebuilt

KATHMANDU: An earthquake-hit school in Laharepauwa village of Rasuwa district got its building reconstructed recently.

With the support of Indigo Children's Fund UK and Jagriti Child and Youth Concern Nepal (JCYCN), Shree Shiwalaya Lower Secondary School reconstructed its building destroyed by the 2015 earthquake and its aftershocks.

The four-room building was constructed with an investment of Rs 4.188 billion.

Meanwhile, the building was handed over to the school on Tuesday.

District Education Officer Sukadev Sapkota, Chair of Children as Zones of Peace National Campaign (CZOP) Krishna Subedi and JCYCN President Tilotam Paudel jointly inaugurated the building during the function.

Meanwhile, speaking at the function, Subedi announced that he established a scholarship fund of Rs 50,000.
