KATHMANDU: Out of 136 local levels in province number 2, results of 63 local bodies has been announced this evening, the Election Commission said.

As per the details provided by to Joint Election Operation Centre at the Election Commission at 4:00 pm today.

Nepali Congress candidates won the election in 21 local levels, while CPN (Maoist Centre) and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal in 12 each, Rastriya Janata Party (RJP)-Nepal in eight, CPN (UML) in seven, Nepal Democratic in two and Nepali Janata Dal in one.

EC Spokesperson Nabaraj Dhakal said that result of 890 Wards has been announced so far.

The EC said that the vote count in all 73 local levels was going on well except in some local levels.

The vote count results of all the local bodies in the province would be announced within a week, according to EC.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has said that the printing of the ballot papers would begin from October 3.

The EC has also said that the preparations are underway to hold the Provincial and Parliamentary elections on stipulated date.
