BAJURA, FEBRUARY 23

Education materials were distributed to 40 students of Dudhir Basic Level School in Budhiganga Municipality, Bajura.

School Management Committee Chair Min Bahadur Singh said education materials were offered to needy students with financial aid from Nepali Heritage Charity Foundation of BC, Canada.

NHCF has helped provide educational materials to 25 children from poor family background while the school distributed materials to 15 needy students.

School head teacher Bikram Bahadur Singh said that bags, copies, pens and pencils, among other materials, were distributed to students.

The organisation has offered education materials to 25 students on the recommendation of the school management committee.

The school management committee had selected 25 poor and needy students for the same. According to the school, the remaining 15 students are also from poor family background and could not afford to buy the essentials.

The organisation's Chairman Debendra Hamal said that scholarship programme had also been launched targeting poor children in remote areas.

Khaki Chandara, a guardian, said that it was a great support to the kids and it also encouraged students to continue their studies.
