As many as eight Nepali nationals who had entered the US via illegal routes have been deported back to their country.
Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal, spokesman of the Nepal Police Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau, said that the US government repatriated them to Kathmandu aboard a chartered flight.
"These individuals, who had illegally entered the US, returned to Kathmandu on Thursday," he stated. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the details of their entry into the US.
