Pokhara resident Nirala Tulachan, 83, today donated over Rs 10 million to a campus in Mustang.

Born and raised in Mustang, Tulachan sold her land and donated the money to Janahit Multiple Campus at Mustang’s Tukuche VDC. Tulachan handed over Rs 10,111,111 to campus management committee chairman Min Prasad Thakali and campus chief Ramchandra Adhikary today. Tulachan had sold her 20 ropani land in Pokhara to make the donation.

The donation will be deposited in the campus fund and its interest will be used for the development of campus infrastructures as per necessity. Tulachna’s son Mrigendra said he was elated to be able to make the contribution. He added that they had also donated their land in Mustang to Yogendra Higher Secondary School.

Adhikary said they were having a hard time running the campus for want of fund. He thanked Tulachan and added that the name of the campus would be changed to Tej Nirala Janhit Multiple Campus.
