NUWAKOT: Two persons of a single family were killed on the spot after a house collapsed in Sikre VDC of Nuwakot on Wednesday night.

According to DSP Rishi Ram Kandel, a 65-year-old man Chitra Bahadur Shrestha and his 13-year-old granddaughter Pushpa died after their house collapsed due to incessant rainfall.

The house caved in and the duo got stuck into the rubble, reported police.

It has been learned that police came to know about the incident at 10:30 am today.

Meanwhile, a pet dog and three goats were also killed in the incident, according to police.
