Equipments worth 12.5m to Cancer Hospital

RATNANAGAR: The Lions Club of International 325 B2 has started the process to purchase the mammogram required for BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital based in Chitwan.

First Vice Governor of Lions Club of International 325 B2 Ghanshyam Bhattarai said that the purchased mammogram will be used for the breast cancer test.

Bhattarai said that Lions Club of International has managed Rs 8.5 million while the Lions Club situated in Bharatpur, Chitwan, would manage the remaining fund.

Likewise, the Lions Club of International is also planning to provide the equipments worth Rs 15 million for the Birgunj based Eye Hospital.

President of Lions Club of International 325 B2, DK Dhungana, said that a total of 1,000 houses and 50 schools would be built with the investment of Rs 1 billion in the earthquake-hit areas. He also added that so far Rs 500 million has been collected while the remaining funds is also being collected.
