Ethiopia’s former Prime Minister in Pokhara

POKHARA: Former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Layne Tamrat, visited Rupakot and Begnas Lake in Pokhara of Kaski district.

Former Prime Minister Tamrat has come to Nepal leading a 12-member delegation including former executive officer of American Express. His delegation visited prime tourism areas of Lekhnath on Sunday.

In course of his three-day visit, the former PM’s delegation also made a feasibility study for foreign investment in Pokhara, shared Padma Raj Poudel, a young entrepreneur and social worker.

The delegation expressed confidence that Nepal's economy would be boosted following the establishment of a stable government.

The Ethiopian delegation drew a conclusion that Nepal has vast potentials to reap benefits from tourism and agriculture sectors.

“Tourism and agriculture could play spectacular roles for Nepal’s development,” said Ben Smith, former Executive Officer of American Express and a member of the visiting delegation.

Meanwhile, the delegation extended educational aid of USD 2,500 for students of Ananda Jyoti Secondary School in Begnas of Pokhara Metropolitan City-31.
