Freed Kamaiya Rehabilitation District Committee, Kailali, has rehabilitated 131 former Kamaiya families in Thapapur, Manahera and Bhajani areas.

Among the rehabilitated former Kamaiya families, who were also provided with land ownership certificates, are 39 families who got red ID cards and 24 blued cards some eight years ago and 13 families who got red cards and 55 blue cards five years ago, according to district land reform officer and secretary of the committee Bhim Bahadur Chand.
