Currently, monsoon winds are influencing weather conditions across Nepal.
At present, the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing partly to generally cloudy skies, while Madhesh Province remains mostly clear with partly cloudy conditions.
Light to moderate rainfall is occurring at a few locations in Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Throughout the day, partly to generally cloudy weather is expected across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at some locations in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places in other regions.
In one or two locations in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is likely.
The Division has also forecast light to moderate rain or snowfall in some areas of the high-hilly and Himalayan regions across all provinces.
Additionally, thunderstorms are likely in parts of the Terai region of Koshi Province and at some locations in Madhesh Province.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas of the country, including Koshi Province, and at a few locations in the remaining provinces.
