DHANGADI, AUGUST 2
Eye-witnesses, who had seen Jayasingh Dhami falling from the tuin into the Mahakali River a few days ago, have been taken to Khalanga for further investigation.
Dhami has been missing ever since he fell into the river.
According to Darchula's Assistant Chief District Officer Jyotsana Bhatta Joshi, the three persons who had witnessed the incident have been brought to the district headquarters. Prior to this, one team each of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force reached the incident site to collect detailed information.
Thirty-three-year-old Jayasingh Dhami of Darchula's Byas heading for district headquarters Khalanga through India's Pithauragadh had fallen off and gone missing in the Mahakali River while crossing the river through a temporary tuin.
There are allegations that Dhami fell off into the river after the SSB of India cut off the tuin It is, however, yet to be confirmed whether it was a murder as alleged.
The witnesses reported seeing SSB members with a hand-held saw near the tuin and said they might have cut off the tuin causing the accident.
The SSB has denied the allegations.
