FA to take decision on constitution amendment after talks with govt
KATHMANDU: The Federal Alliance, which includes the parties affiliated with United Democratic Madhesi Front also, has decided to take a concrete decision regarding amendment in the next meeting by reviewing the talks held with the government in this regard.
A meeting held at the office of the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal's office in Kathmandu discussed the issue of the decisions to be taken at a time when the government has delayed registering the constitution amendment proposal.
General Secretary of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party, Manish Kumar Suman, told RSS that no concrete decision was taken today as the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party chairman, Mahantha Thakur, and Sadbhawana Chairman Rajendra Mahato could not attend the meeting, as they are out of Valley.
"The meeting reviewed the formal and informal meetings held with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli," he said.
Saying the Alliance wanted the government to register the constitution amendment proposal soon, Co-Chair of the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal and Alliance Secretariat Coordinator Rajendra Shrestha said that the next meeting would decide about further strategy in this regard.
