Kathmandu, November 26:
As many as 24 organisations working for the protection of women rights today submitted a four-point memorandum to CA chairperson Subas Nembang to put pressure on the government to select a woman as the vice-chairperson of the CA.
Sharmila Karki, president of Jagaran Nepal, said they had demanded the election of a woman as the vice-chairperson of CA and the inclusion of women in all high-level committees formed by the government. “Women should also be included in high-level committee formed for the integration and rehabilitation of PLA combatants,” Karki demanded.
