Far-West folks keen to welcome new statute

BAJURA: After the Constitutional Assembly passed the Revised Bill on Constitution by two-thirds of majority on Wednesday, most people of the Far Western hill are exalted.

However, the strike in the plain districts - Kanchanpur and Kailali - is going on by pro-Tharuhat people demanding address to their demands.

A civil society leader in Doti, Mukunda Rana, informed that announcement of date of much-awaited new constitution promulgation brought the happiness among people in the region.

A daily wage labourer, Rina Chadara, of Barbisha in Bajura, also expressed her happiness for announcement of new constitution.

Siddharaj Joshi of Chhanna in Bajhang district informed that they are going to celebrate commencement of the constitution on September 20 with a candlelight vigil.

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Bajura Chapter's President, Dev Bahadur Rokaya informed that they hoped that the constitution from the CA would lead the country towards peace, prosperity and economic development.

People of the region are planning to organise Deepawali on September 20.
