FSF-N cadres hurl stones at vice-chair’s residence
Rajbiraj, September 4
Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal cadres and local leaders threw stones at the house of FSF-N Vice-chair Renu Yadav and staged a rally by burning tyres in front of her house saying that Yadav had picked the candidate for the chair of Saptari’s Belhichapena Rural Municipality by ignoring their sentiments and the party committee’s recommendation.
District Committee Saptari had recommended Surendra Yadav to be party candidate for the post of Belhichapena Rural Municipality.
Renu Yadav, however, had picked Chitranjan Yadav, a name not recommended by the committee unilaterally. This irked the local cadres causing them to take to the street against the decision.
Agitating cadres warned the party would have to pay a huge price in the civic polls if the decision was not changed.
Surendra Yadav, recommended by the committee for the rural municipality ward chair, charged that his name was removed at the eleventh hour due to financial manoeuvring.
Surendra warned of an agitation against Renu if the decision was not rectified.
Security has been beefed up in and around Renu’s residence to avert any possible untoward incident.
