FSF-N chair Yadav stresses statute amendment to empower Madhesis

Rajbiraj, December 2

Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav stressed on the need to amend the constitution to empower Madhesi people.

Speaking at an election gathering organised in Rajbiraj, Saptari, today, FSF-N Chair Yadav, who is also the party’s candidate for the parliamentary polls from Saptari Constituency 2, said his party had given top priority to statute amendment.

Yadav said dissatisfaction among Madhesi, indigenous and marginalised communities would continue to exist if the statute was not amended. He assured voters that if elected he would work for development of the constituency and also expressed his confidence that voters this time would choose someone who had provided leadership to the fight for their rights.

Yadav said all kinds of discrimination should be eliminated from society for development and peace.
