FSF-N wins most top seats in Parsa

Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal has won most top seats in the local level elections in Parsa as the vote count progresses. So far, the results of 14 local levels in the district are out.
FSF-N won top positions in five local units namely, Pokhariya municipality and Pakahamainpur, Sukhawaparsauni, Bindhyabasini and Kalikamai rural municipalities.
Similarly, Nepali Congress and CPN-Maoist Centre have claimed top posts in three local levels each while CPN-UML has emerged victorious in two local levels namely, Jira Bhawanipur and Paterwasugauli rural municipalities. NC has claimed victory in Bahudarmai and Parsagadhi municipalities and Dhobani Rural Municipality. CPN-MC has won in Thori, Chhipaharamai and Jagarnathpur rural municipalities.
Meanwhile, vote counting in Birgunj metropolis, the only metropolis in the entire province, is ongoing. So far, FSF-N mayoral candidate Ajay Dwibedi is leading with 8,410 votes ahead of NC candidate Ajaya Kumar Dwibedi with 8,338 votes. RJP-N candidate Rajeshman Singh has garnered 6,143 votes, so far. Other mayoral candidates are well below the mark of 5,000-vote mark.
