Fever, diarrhoea outbreak

With rise in temperature, outbreak of fever and diarrhoea has been reported in Byas municipality and its surroundings. Most of 80 to 90 patients, who visited Damauli hospital today, suffered from fever and diarrhoea, said Dr Krishna Poudel. He advised people to maintain cleanliness, drink boiled water and take oral rehydration supplement like ‘Jeevan Jal’ to avoid dehydration. The drug stores in Damauli have also been selling anti-diarrhoeal and anti-pyretic drugs to some 15-20 patients every day, it is learnt. Most of the victims are children. Over 50 patients who visited primary health centre in Bhimad had diarrhoea or fever.
