DADELDHURA: Three members of a family died when fire engulfed the hut they were living in at Girija Bagar in Puchaudi Municipality-7 of Baitadi district.

According to Netra Mani Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Baitadi District Police Office, the fire that broke out at around 10:00 pm yesterday killed Kari Luhar (45), his wife Brindra Luhar, and their eight-year-old son Manahar Luhar.

Preliminary investigation carried out by police revealed that the fire might have broken out from the cooking furnace at the temporaray residence of Luhar family.

DSP Giri said that though the locals and police extinguished the fire, they were unable to save the family.
