PHIDIM: A fire gutted a tailoring shop and an adjoining fancy store at the district headquarters Phidim of Panchthar in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

According to the District Police Office (DPO), Panchthar, properties worth Rs 1.15 million were destroyed in the fire that broke out at around 2 am.

The fire was doused with the help of Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and local people.

The reason behind the fire was not known, according to police.
