BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs 555,000 was reduced to ashes when a fire destroyed a house in Dhankuta on Tuesday.

Police said that the two-storey house belonging to Majhang Limbu of Angdung, Arkhaule in Dhakuta was gutted in the fire.

Police said that Rs 30,000 in cash and other valuable goods were gutted in the flame.

Police said that Limbu sustained minor injuries while dousing the fire.

The fire was started from the kitchen of Limbu.

The blaze was taken under control with the help of locals, police informed.
