Fire victims left high and dry in Saptari
RAJBIRAJ: Victims of fire in different places of Saptari district are in dire straits as they have not received any relief. They have been compelled to live under the open sky. Krishnadev Mandal, a victim of Bharadah, complained that no one had approached them with support.
Meanwhile, Ram Prasad Ghimire, chief district officer, said relief materials would be distributed after details on the losses incurred were collected.
The fire brigade in Rajbiraj Municipality informed that 40 houses were gutted at Bharadah-6 on Wednesday night. Likewise, 12 houses were destroyed on Wednesday at Fakira VDC. Similarly, 32 houses were burnt down in Dhangadi VDC.
In separate incidents on Wednesday, 10 houses were destroyed in Sambhunath VDC and 22 were reduced to ashes in Raypur VDC.
