Nepal Police have arrested five individuals for the possession of drugs from various parts of the country.

Sindhuli: Police have arrested three individuals, including Sunil Kumar Yadav (20) of Sarlahi Kodaina Rural Municipality-6, from Kamalamai Municipality-6 Majhitar on Wednesday evening. The trio was arrested during the security check of the car with Indian registration number HR 10 S 3056, in which they were traveling. During the check, police discovered 6,000 tablets of the controlled drug Nitravet and 749 bottles of Dialex-DC 100 ml in the car, prompting the police to arrest them.

Kapilvastu: Police arrested Ghanshyam Murau (26) of Jagdishpur in Banganga Municipality-9 with 3 grams 830 mg substance that resembles brown sugar and Rs 28,000 in cash. Acting on a special tip-off, Pipara Area police office deployed a team that stopped the motorcycle (Lu 86 Pa 9762) Murau was riding at Babhani in Banganga-3 on Wednesday evening and arrested him after discovering the drugs.

Kailali: Police arrested Rabindra Tamatta (25) of Bauniya Jagatpur in Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-2 with 4 grams 170 mg of substance that looked like heroin on Wednesday evening. A police team deployed from Lakunda Police Post arrested Tamatta on the road in Tikapur Municipality-9.

Further investigations into the cases are ongoing, police said.
