Five persons have been arrested with Inland Revenue Department stickers in Kailali.

Sanjit Kumar, 19, Suresh Kumar, 22, and Rinku Kumar, 20, of India's Lakhimpur Khiri district, Raj Kumar Sah, 40, of Rautahat's Garuda Municipality and Bijaya Gupta, 55, of Parsa's Birgunj Municipality were arrested from Kailali's Gauriganga Municipality on the charge of misusing IRD's stickers.

Police had arrested Sanjit Kumar during checking.

Riding a motorbike, he was found to be carrying 77 rolls of 288674 IRD stickers.

"Of the 77 rolls, 13 were found to have the same serial number," said Kailali District Police Office DSP Pratik Bista, adding investigation had shown that all the stickers were brought from Masuriya-based Western Liquors Pvt Ltd Of Gauriganga Municipality.

"When we raided Sanjit Kumar and his friends' apartment, we also found stamps and stamp pads," said the DSP.

In the wake of the arrest, police has sealed the factory of the liquor company.
