POKHARA: As many as five persons were hurt in two separate road accidents in Province 4 on Monday.

In one incident, three persons sustained injuries when the jeep they were travelling on plunged some 50 metres down the road at Hemja Tuslighat of Pokhara-25.

An ill-fated jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5158) was heading to Pokhara Bazaar from Ghachowk of Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality before it lost control and fell down the road this morning.

According to Kaski District Police Office Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Man Gurung, all the injured persons are undergoing treatment at Fishtail Hospital in the Lake City.

Similarly, two others were hurt in a road accident at Satau in Putalibazaar Municipality-14 of Syanjga district today.

The injured persons were rushed to Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital for treatment, police said.

Meanwhile, police have rounded the driver for further investigation.
