Five injured in Kanchanpur wild boar attack

KANCHANPUR: At least five people were injured in wild boar attack in Shuklaphanta Municipality-5 of Kanchanpur district on Tuesday morning.

The injured have been identified as Surendra Saud (26), Manita Bohara (45), Man Bahadur Saud (20), Janaki Bohara (18) and Kalyan Bohara (58), all the local residents.

They were sitting on the courtyard of a house when suddenly the wild pig came out of nowhere and charged injuring them yesterday, police stated.

It is believed that the wild boar entered the human settlement from the nearby community forest.

Meanwhile, all the injured are receiving treatment at the Seti Zonal Hospital in Kailali.
