Five suspended for "irregularities in revenue entry"
KATHMANDU: The Department of Transport Management on Wednesday suspended five employees for their alleged involvement in extensive irregularities in revenue entry.
Those suspended are chief of Koshi Zonal Transport Management Office Naya Raj Nepal; account officer Tikaram Adhikari, accountants Suresh Adhikari and Rudra Prasad Dahal and non-gazetted first class officer (nayab subba) Tikaram Bastola, according to DoTM Spokesperson Tok Raj Pandey.
Secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Dhan Bahadur Tamang ordered their suspension through a ministerial level decision today as preliminary investigation showed their involvement in irregularities.
The DoTM has written to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority asking the anti-corruption body to carry out further investigation into the matter.
