DHANUSHA: A six-year-old girl was raped at Lakhauri, Dhanauji Rural Municipality in Dhanusha district. Police have taken into custody the 14-year old boy who allegedly raped the girl, District Police Office Superintendent of Police, Chakra Bahadur Singh told THT Online.

The girl was taken to Janakpur Zonal Hospital where her medical tests were carried out. She has now been sent home after receiving treatment at the hospital.

Further investigation into the case in underway, informed SP Singh.
