Nepalgunj, December 18:

The air services from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu, Karnali and other hilly destinations were cancelled today due to the bad weather. All the flights scheduled to Nepalgung were disrupted.

Chief of Civil Aviation Authority, Nepalgunj, Suresh Kumar Ajad said more than 10 flights scheduled from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu and Karnali’s hilly districts were postponed.

Buddha, Yeti, Sita and Nepal Airlines have been operating flights from Nepalgunj to different parts of the country.

Mist engulfed the Nepalgunj area throughout the day, affecting the normal life. People in Bardia, Kohalpur and Banke remained inside their homes, burning firewood to protect them from cold.

Older people and younger children were badly affected in the chilly atmosphere.

The coldwave con-ditions may continue for another week.
