Flood alert issued for Provinces 1, 2, 3

KATHMANDU: Flood Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a flood alert.

According to a flood forecast bulletin issued by the Division, due to moderate to heavy rain in Province 1, 2 and 3, high flood condition may develop along the foothills and Tarai region of the provinces in the next 20-36 hours.

It has been predicted that the water level in various rivers — including Kankai and Kamala rivers — may also rise to dangerous level.
