FNJ meet ends, flays attacks on media
Narayangarh:
The national meet of district chairmen of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) concluded here on Monday, issuing a 15-point manifesto.
Some district chairmen and central committee members of the FNJ, however, expressed dissatisfaction over the inclusion of a clause in the manifesto that seeks the amendment to the statute of the FNJ.
The meet decided to press for immediate implementation of the National Working Journalists Act and condemned the attacks on media persons and media houses. According to the clause on statute amendment, 15 FNJ members can open a branch of the FNJ in any media house in their district.
