FNJ mission in Sunsari
Itahari, February 3 :
A mission of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) today met the Sunsari CDO, district police chief and district-based leaders of the agitating Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) as well as local journalists. The FNJ mission reached here when journalists faced great difficulties after the Inaruwa incident and Terai unrest.
The mission, led by FNJ president Bishnu Nisthuri met MJF leaders, including district coordinator SN Mehta and questioned them about MJF activists’ misbehaviour with local journalists. “In course of the meeting, Mehta assured the mission of rectifying mistakes and ensuring that those will not be repeated,” Nisthuri said.
Mehta told Nisthuri that the MJF has not prevented displaced journalist Bed Raj Poudel from rejoining his duty after returning. Nisthuri said that the MJF agreed to let Poudel return and stay.
The mission also met Sunsari police chief Yadav Raj Khanal.
