FNJ to fight for FM scribes

Kathmandu, August 30:

The Federation of Nepali Journalists today said it would launch a struggle to have journalists sacked by the HBC FM reinstated.

At a press meet here, FNJ vice-president Shiva Gaule said the federation would hold a “strong” protest programme on Sunday.

He demanded that the FM management create an environment conducive to the return of journalists sacked yesterday. Convener of the HBC Radio Workers’ Struggle Committee Nara-yan Bhandary said 37 employees of the 45 in the FM station have been denied entry in the office.
