PHIDIM: Ram Prakash Samathing, local youth, has launched a campaign to feed mentally challenged people and tramps who wander the street for food.

Ram Prakash said he had started a crusade to feed the people who survive on leftovers in the street.

He said he had gathered only three such people though the number exceeds ten. “I decided to launch the campaign to feed street people after I saw them eating leftover meals and chicken and pig feed thrown on the pile of garbage,” Prakash said.

He fed three people delicacies at Phidim headquarters Panchthar on Tuesday. After they were fed, Prakash gave two people new clothes too.
