Forestry campus entrance test nixed

Hetauda, January 9

The local administration today cancelled the entrance examination for the bachelor level programme at Institute of Forestry Hetauda in Makawanpur on Saturday.

The administration deployed security personnel and used force restricting students from taking the examination.

Campus Chief Yusuf Ansari said that Chief District Officer Ram Prasad Thapaliya barred students from taking the test, saying he had received orders from the centre. As many as 262 examinees had registered for the entrance examination.

The test was cancelled due to growing rift between Tribhuvan University and Agriculture and Forest University.
