Deepak Khadka, a former minister and Nepali Congress leader, has been arrested in connection with a money laundering investigation.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police took Khadka into custody on Sunday morning, according to CIB spokesperson Shiva Kumar Shrestha.

Police said Khadka is being investigated under charges related to money laundering. Further details are awaited.
