Siraha, May 2 :

Activists of the two factions of the Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) — one led by Jwala Singh and the other by Jay Krishna Goit — abducted four persons from different places in Siraha last night.

Jwala’s men abducted Krishna Kumar Mahato, 12, of Bhawanipur-9 from the house of his uncle Harisaran Mahato last night. Seven armed JTMM (Jwala) cadres led by platoon commander Rajendra Singh abducted Krishna, JTMM (Jwala) spokesperson Binod Bidrohi said, adding that Krishna was abducted since Harisaran purchased the land that was seized by JTMM cadres some time ago. Krishna is studying in grade six at the Manokamana Boarding School in Lahan.

JTMM cadres also took away a motorbike belonging to Harisaran Mahato.

Meanwhile, cadres of JTMM (Goit) abducted three persons from different places last night. JTMM cadres, on the charge of spying against JTMM (Goit), abducted Saroj Thapa of Lahan-5, Anirudra Yadav of Sanhaitha-8 and Surendra Thakur of Sukhipuri. JTMM (Goit) eastern command in-charge, Angi took responsibility for the abduction. He said the abductees will be released after carrying out necessary investigation.
